Zdenek was born in Lidice to Zdenek and Ruzena Petrik. He lived there with his parents in house number 97. His father was the teacher at the school. On June 10th he and his mom were still at their house. When the Gestapo noticed the smoke coming from the chimney they took them on a motorcycle to the Kladno school, where all the other Lidice women and children were. Zdenek was deported to Lodz and then to Chelmno with the other children of Lidice. They were all gassed in a van.

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Zdenek Petrik who was born in Czech Republic on June 1, 1941 and passed away on July 2, 1942. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.
